We go into the game overwhelming favourites with Freo $6 for a win. However, we often lose these sort of games. On a roll with four wins in a row, we are
charging towards a top four spot. Dockers may lose Grover at the tribunual and may have one or two injuries from yesterday's game. We have definately
lost Pendles however Anthony seems ok. Really looking forward to this game, should be a relaxing game.
Would really like Thomas to run into some form. With the loss of Pendles we need him to lift. Wellingham needs to have a big game, and I would love to see
the LSD love child that is having a terrible season yet is somehow escaping the viscous wrath of LSD in COx,(does Beheard rate him)to turn it around and show
us all this potential that many on here claim him to have.
This is a game where the lesser lights can run into some form and have some fun! Freo are set for a shocker and were not that good despite losoing to Geelong
by three goals. We should win this won, my prediction 7-8 goal win.

We should win but Freo are very competitive and attack the pill pretty hard.
We'll need to be at our best. Very important we can get Medhurst back in the forward line, not only to release Dids and Leon into the midfield but to also give support to Anthony who is sore and Cloke who is just plain struggling. Wouldn't mind seeing Thomas line up in the middle from the start. Might be what we need to kick start his season. I'd like to see: INS: Medhurst Beams Bryan OUTS: Pendlebury (inj) Wood Cox B: O'Brien Presti Clarke HB: Shaw Maxwell Toovey C: Didak Swan Wellingham HF: Dick Cloke Sidebottom F: Medhurst Anthony Lockyer R: Fraser Davis Thomas I: Bryan O'Bree L.Brown Beams The way Jolly threw Wood around make me think Sandilands would just humiliate the kid. Needs 10 more kgs before he can compete properly. He looks as though he's lost weight since the start of the season. Give the bear a go. At least you know he'll give 100% and throw his body into the contest. Might even have a presence up forward. Cox needs to lose some weight and Beams is the logical inclusion for Pendles. Not sure there is really a match up for N.Brown to come straight back in as Freo isn't that tall up forward.

Our season starts friday week v the bummers.
will be interesting to see where we are placed after round 22. will be an intriguing last part of the season. are we a genuine top 4 side? |

Freo have a few slippery customers such as Ibbotson. However, they have nothing that looks like a game plan with Pavlich playing out his career as an odd-job
man.

Bryan is NOT to play unless 2 of Fraser, Wood and L.Brown cannot play. Fraser will always be no. 1 and Wood is still developing and needs to stay in side. Wood
was way more upside than Bryan. Bryan is terrible. Kicks a couple of goals in reserves and thats it. Wood proved he can go up against the best in Cox.

freo looked quite slippery v cats
they are fast but we can expect a multitude of cox like clangers if we start like we did against the swans then we could role them easily give them a sniff and they could humiliate us |

Fraser was also thrown round against Jolly almost as much as Wood, and around the ground Wood actually did okay on Saturday . Wood should be given a run of
games so he keeps developing.

Well after a great recovery in the final quarter against the Swans I am very confident that Collingwood will win.
And admittedly I have not had the years of disappointment that you guys have had watching Collingwood but I have to say that I am surprised at the low level of expectation for this season amongst so many people. Surely Collingwood can finish top 4and from what I have seen so far this season obviously only Geelong and St. Kilda stand out and look at what Collingwood did to Geelong last year. Are we so much worse or them so much better that it couldn't happen again? And before anyone says what do I know, I would agree. But surely there is room for a bit more optimism in life? |

We feel about these fuck ups the same way you guys feel when you remember how Scott McDonald scored a double for Motherwell against Celtic at the end of the 2004/05 season to gift the championship to Rangers. DUDE was 73 the year thommo was ripping them to shreds at CHF and jerka in the ruck and neil mann was the hopeless coach who changed them about and hart was
injured and sat on the bench for app 3 quarters and when he came on the whole tigers side lifted and we just faded away - i think thommo had boils all over his
back and should not have played - we were dominating for most of the game as usual and lost.

Just take a look at the 2009 ladder. Have a look at the BOTTOM 7 sides. They're the ones we've beaten. Now take a look at the TOP 9. They're the teams we haven't beaten ('cept BL). Yet we're 4th. By all means enjoy the highlights .... there's some fun to be had. Just keep it in context. Next 4 weeks is a reality check. Beat Ess,Haw, and WB and some of the hype will mean something Then you can brace yourself for Sept. |

Read me as an optimist or a pessimist. Depending upon where you're sitting I can be either. If we beat Essendon, Hawthorn AND Footscray... ... we will play in the 2009 Grand Final. With a better chance than 2003 of winning. Three very different teams who always find very different (from one-another) ways of beating or thrashing us. The last three years have shown that we can overcome the brilliance and game of St K and the Cats. If MM can adapt his plan enough to beat those three teams in three consecutive weeks then we can beat anybody. We will beat Carlton the following week regardless. |
