Anyone want to revise their predictions. Lot of optimism pre season.
Can one of the mods sticky this thread? |

ladder position for sure. i got sucked in by the fact we appeared to have changed our game plan in the pre-season, a favourable draw, and i thought there were
a lot of other teams just as bad as us. got 2 right, one hopelessly wrong.
9-13 for us. |

Despite being way off premiership pace , we should still make the 8 unless injuries get out of hand.
We dont play the Cats or Saints again , and plenty of teams are very ordinary . There will be some shit sides in the 8 again. Why not us. |

"There will be some shit sides in the 8 again. Why not us."
too true. although i think you're being kind to us there. i reckon we are in the middle of the mediocrity, placing us about 10th. kind of makes you wish for a top 5 again. |

Yep. Far too many sides make the finals. But as long as playing more finals = more $ for both clubs and the AFL, returning to a final 5 is something
there's no chance of. If we end up with 18 teams, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a 10 team finals series.

They have mentioned 10 team final series possibility with the current structure - lock it in for when the Western Sydney Kappa Lebo Tigers Pacific Islanders
brigade join.

A conference system would have been the way to go, but 18 does not really work. Re-locating 2 teams interstate would have been ideal. Two groups of 8,
play each other twice, cross over and play the other conference once, 22 games in total with a final four in each conf.

I would rather we finish 14th than just make up the numbers in a money spinning top 8.

Heard the Melbourne supporters yesterday being very happy about their close loss.
The theme was their supporters don't want to win too many games for fear of losing draft picks. |
