If you cant your head around this overall concept at last the club will be stuck with them for 6-8 years as their value decreases. We missed the Josh trading window by about 6 years. He is so gone even for somebody who was never there. Taz like wise.
I think it is probably too late anyway and I'm not confident about the young backmen either. I've tried to follow the party line with Brown but increasingly think he is a mediocre spud. And Harry God love him cant really play small or tall. Marty is just and the oldies are making up numbers.
At a bigger level I dont think there is a coherent strategy possible from our club based on the beliefs I hear around the place. Maybe it's too big, too many opinions and too little hard football nous.
I rate the the Essendon loss worse from a point of view watching the pace of Reimers and Lonergan [ yeah who ] cut us up.
But consider this. For "other " reasons Buddy went as a number 5 pick. And we got killed in the ruck again by guys who werent #1 picks.
If you have your wits about you picking players it would help even if there are no guarantees.
But if you cant accept we have no real stars you cant start the process. [ I've always wanted to say "process"].
